The Wines Included

Pierre Chainier Brut,AOP Crémant de Loire NV
Fine creamy bubbles with baked peaches, clementine, peach yoghurt and a touch of hazelnut and almond. Crisp, clean with a touch of green apple tartness.

Cicada Blanc by Chante Cigale, Vin de France
An unusual blend of Viognier (30%), Picpoul Blanc (30%) and Grenache Blanc (40%). Easy-drinking, unoaked and a classic french-style table wine. Citrus and pear on the nose with citrus flesh. There is nice weight on the palate, more ripe pear and some silky minerality on the finish.

Bottega Vinai Nosiola,Trentino DOC
The Nosiola grapes are sourced from the Valle dei Laghi on the slopes of the Calavino mountains, where the large difference between day and night temperatures favours crisp, aromatic wines. Appealing aromas of apple and pear with lightly floral notes. The palate is fresh yet textural with orchard and stone fruit characters, a touch of honey and white spice, and a lightly nutty finish.

Kukupa, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
All of the fruit comes from the single Kerseley estate vineyard from vines planted between 1991 and 2008. Grown on a VSP trellis system, the vineyards are in the Dillons point area around half a mile from the sea. Be aware that a lot of NZ Sauvignons on the market are made up of ‘mostly’ Sauvignon blanc from NZ.
This is a deliciously crisp aromatic white
wine which overflows with gooseberry, guava and citrus flavours. It’s named after the Kukupa - a bird that can’t fly after drinking too much fermented berry juice!

Circle of Life White, WOStellenbosch S.Africa
A fine and seamless blend of 3 classic white grapes. Sauvignon Blanc aromas are prominent on the nose, with lime and prickly pear notes. A tight mineral core and creamy mid palate from the Chenin Blanc
gives complexity and a persistent finish while a small proportion of Semillon adds texture and depth.

Adobe Reserva Viognier[Organic] Chile
Adobe is a line of organic reserve wine that
reflect the highest quality of the vineyards and a deep respect for the environment and its workers. Everything used to make this organic wine is of natural origin. Fresh bright and aromatic with aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine. It has a palate that includes white peach in both skin and texture, with notes of white leaf tea and fresh apricot fruit. Ultimately a hugely appealing varietal Viognier.

Juan Gil Yellow Label Monastrell, DO Jumilla, Spain [Organic]
Jumilla is a tough place to be a vine, yet these old bush vines, high in the hot, dusty hills of Jumilla produce characterful and fruit-packed wines from the local Monastrell grape. The nose has rich plum and bramble characters, with delicate vanilla spice and cedar. The palate has layers of ripe fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, spicy plum and cherry, and fine tannins balanced by bright acidity. A juicy and generous glass well-suited to those who like their wines on the hedonistic side.

Cicada Rouge by Chante Cigale, Vin de France
Fresh, ripe red berries with a touch of forest floor on the nose. Robust flavours of red and black cherries, a pinch of spice and some smooth tannins, definitely punching above its modest Vin de France classification.

Emiliana Salvaje Syrah Roussanne, DO Valle Casablanca [Organic & Biodynamic] [No Sulfites]
Deep violet-red. A distinctive nose with floral violets and black forest fruits. The palate is bright with red current and blackberry fruit, black olive and gentle spice. The velvety texture leads on to a long finish with plenty of freshness.

Circle of Life Red, WOStellenbosch, S.Africa
A rewarding and satisfyingly juicy mix of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache. Circle of Life tells the story of Waterkloof: a once conventionally farmed property transformed into a living, breathing organic and regenerative vineyard by Farm Manager Christiaan Loots and his team. The beginning is fresh and full of fruit with good acidity, evolving into riper flavours with lightly spicy notes. Elegant tannins and fine, bright acid on the finish.

Nieto Malbec, Luján deCuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
Sourced from Nieto's 40 year old vineyards in Lujan de cuyo, Mendoza. Blackberry, plum fruit and sweet spice. The palate is silky and warming with more black fruit, like dark cherry pie. The wine is vibrant with an alluring blend of fruit along with clove, pepper and cinnamon spice finished off with well-structured integrated tannins. A portrait of Malbec.

Uggiano Governo, Toscano IGT, Italy
A ripe and supple red made by the traditional Tuscan 'Governo’ method, involving a slow refermentation of the freshly produced wine with the addition of semi-dried grapes to give concentration. Full flavoured and generous on the palate with good concentration of red berry fruit backed by fresh acidity and supple tannins. An approachable, rounded style with a yellow, gently spicy finish.
